I’m no stranger to the symphonic band, but recently, I decided to delve into their music more. Let me tell you, I’ve never been as addicted to songs as I have these. It’s hard to rank which is my favorite, but they’re all way up there.
Roy Khan, who is sadly no longer the lead vocals of the group, had just an astounding voice. It’s hard to put into words how great it is. I love the feeling he puts into his music, the emotion and the amount of energy you can just feel from his music. While the new singer, Tommy Karevik, is great, I don’t think anything could compare to Khan. And honestly, I have more of a fan crush on Khan, though Karevik is not bad to look at either.
In all, Kamelot’s music is probably something that will never grow old to me. I’ve been listening to them for about four years, so I’m still relatively new to their stuff, but I’m exploring their unique style and so far, I’m loving it.
So if you’re a fan of metal, more specifically the symphonic subgenre, I definitely recommend Kamelot.
